Hmmm...what to say? So many thoughts as we are fans of this company, and they allow for generous platitudes. So I will start here: If you want the absolute best fish, you have found it here at Wild Bay Seafood Company! In our opinion, the smoked salmon makes a premier New England chowder. FYI, we are old and have traveled a lot so we know! Also, FYI, we were foodies before it was a "thing," and our wild, gypsy feet took us around the world on food excursions. Every continent except Antartica. We don't care to go there as we hear that there are aliens... What would one do?
At retirement, we found ourselves in the midwest. Although there are tasty regional specials, it is not exactly a hotspot for seafood. While bemoaning this fact to our son who lived in Seattle at the time, he mentioned that he knew of a small company that would ship to us. He sent a sampler box to us for Christmas, and we were hooked (yup, that was a pun!). We bought one of the subscriptions and look forward to receiving our box every few months to see what we can make with the ingredients. Chowder is always on the menu but sometimes a simple open faced sandwich with cream cheese and smoked fish on home baked bread hits the spot. (What's your favorite?)
I also want to mention that the staff are very responsive to emails. We had moved and forgot to inform the company. We received a message from them that a box would be shipping soon and going to our old house. The communication was excellent from their end and the box was relabeled before it left the facility.
